Under the plan of heaven, the husband and the wife walk side by side as companions, neither one ahead of the other, but a daughter of God and a son of God walking side by side.

Warm spring weather

Today was so warm outside. (Well, if you count 50 as warm.) Isaac went outside to do some yard work and Emerson was so excited to go too. I got the cutest pictures! I absolutely love the one of Emerson and Isaac. That one definitely deserves a frame. We hope the warm weather continues. We are sure getting sick of it being cold outside. I heard it's suppose to snow on Sunday! Yuck!

Okay, so this post is for all the moms out there. I need some help. Emerson is a biter! I hate it. He bit someone about a month ago and I thought nothing of it. (Of course he went to time out.) But, he bites all the time now! He bit Capri so hard today that it drew blood and she has an awful bruise. I wouldn't think anything of it, if it weren't a daily event. He seems to be biting someone (Capri, Grandma Marcia, some poor kid a the daycare . . .) at least once a day lately. I need some suggestions here. I don't agree with biting back, so don't suggest that. But, I would like to hear some ideas, because this just can't continue. Thanks everyone!

So, Isaac and I are debating a big move . . . to Mesa, Arizona to be exact. There is a job oportunity there and that's were Isaac's parents live. We are really having a hard time with this disicision! There are so many pros and cons that's it's really hard to make a quick, easy decision! We would love a change of scenery and the oportunity to make more money, but Ashley would definately have a hard time being away from family. Emerson and Capri would really miss Grandma and Grandpa Boren, but would enjoy seeing and getting to know Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Ken. Making these kind of decisions are so hard for me!!!!! Feel free to take the survey so I can see what others are thinking :-)

Tagged by Tammy

I usually don't do this, but it looked like fun, so here it goes.

10 yrs ago: I was a freshmen in highschool. Holy cow. It was my first year back in public school after being at Challenger for so long. It was full of fun discovering that most teachers didn't care, and you could get away with a lot. I remember getting in trouble because Jaron Stonehocker drove me home from school. I was one of the only ones in Jr. High with a friend that could drive.

5 Things on my list of things to do today:
1. Wash a load of whites (Isaac actually did this before I could get to it)
2. File my taxes (got this done)
3. Sell stuff to kid to kid (got this done too!)
4. Go grocery shopping (saved over $50 by using my coupons!!!)
5. Clean out the car (didn't get it done)

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire:
Pay off all debt. (We are close to this if you don't count medical . . .)
Buy a house and a new minivan
Buy Isaac a new car
Take a realy long vacation somewhere warm and with lots of things to do with the kids.
Put the rest away for a rainy day
(Oh, and buy some new clothes for the kids and I!)

Places I have lived:
Bountiful, Utah
Alpine, Utah
Pleasant Grove, Utah
Holiday, Utah
Sugarhouse, Utah

Things most people don't know about me:
I like to sleep with the covers over my head (This used to give me a headache as a child)
I love to lay things out and organize them, I usually get distracted, though and leave them out for the kids to mess up (which explains my messy house)
I can't stand for my kids to look dirty, sometimes I change their clothes 5 times a day
I love to read, but have a hard time finding the time
I like to croquet (I'm spelling that wrong) blanket and burp rags
I can't sleep with socks on my feet
I'm a night owl
I have to take a bath before I can go to bed

Alright, I tag: Kendra, Marci, and Lindsey

First Suit

So, for easter this year, we decided to get Emerson a suit. He looked so handsome in it, that we decided to have him start wearing it now. Oh my goodness he is cute! Also, today in primary, Emerson said the prayer. It was so cute. I helped him. I started whispering the things to say in his ear, so he thought he was suppose to whisper as well. He whispered the whole prayer into the microphone. It was so cute. Then after the prayer, he jumped down off the stand with a big smile on his face. He is growing up so fast. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. I love him so much!!

Okay, so we are trying something new for Capri's asthma. (Maybe it's not asthma at all! We are so frustrated that nothing seems to help.) We are trying a nebulizer 4 times a day. It seems to help a bit. Capri was scared of it at first, but now she knows how to use it and puts it on her face herself. It's pretty cute. We'll have to see if this helps at all. (For those of you who do not know what is going on, Capri has had a cough for over a year now. When I say cough, I mean a bad, rough sounding, barkie cough. We have done several chest x-rays, tests and other treatments and nothing seems to help. They think that it is just a bad case of asthma, which explains the inhalers and the nebulizer.) Hopefully this works!

I am so excited. I am finally going to be an Aunt! Isaac's sister, Kendra, finally gave me permission to announce that she is expecting in September! I am so excited! This will be my first niece/nephew. My children will finally have a cousin. She is doing well, besides having the worst case of morning sickness that I have ever seen. She is already 3 months along and is very excited. I can't wait to spoil that little one rotten!

Health Insurance

So, this little post is just all about complaining. With Isaac's new job came WONDERFUL insurance. When I say wonderful, I mean 100% coverage with no deductables. With our health history this has been wonderful. Well, Isaac's company just announced that they are changing benefits in a couple months!! I am so mad! Well, I loved it while it lasted. We are going to hurry and get Capri's kidney tests (maybe surgery) done and really get serious about seeing some specialists for Emerson. I guess some things are to wonderful to last . . .

No surgery . . . again

So, I'm kind of upset about having to go all the way down town to find out that I could have been told over the phone that they are NOT taking his tonsils out. We are, on the other hand, going to be seeing a immune system specialist at Primary Children's Hospital. They are hoping to find out a cause to why he gets sick so fast and so severe. I'm glad that we are going to maybe get some answers. He is such a happy little kid and it's very hard as his mother to see him sick so much. On that same note, I can't help but post this little comment. Emerson today was mad at me for telling him that he needed to go get in bed and he looked me right in the eyes and called me "a crazy devil women." It took me a second to figure out what he said, but when I asked him what he said, he gladly repeated it. I was appaled that he would say that and told him that he is never to speak to me like that. His simple response was "but that's what Luigi called Lizzie!" All of you familiar with the movie CARS might be familiar with this. I couldn't help but laugh. I told him it wasn't nice and that Luigi shouldn't have said that. The kids seriously cracks me up. Just one more story. Today Lindsey came to visit and the kids were THRILLED! They were laughing and clapping when she came in the door. They both fought over who got to sit on her lap. We were talking about how sad it will be if they have to move when Dan goes to medical school. Then sweet Emerson reached up and put his hands on her cheek and said "Auntie Lindsey, don't forget me. My name is Emerson and that is Capri. I love you!" Of course Lindsey and I started to cry! I really hope that they don't have to move and that they get into the U. I don't know what I would do without Lindsey. We have never been apart and I love her so much. Man, I'm emotional! I just can't bare the thought of being away from her! Love ya Linds!

Tons of new updates

So, all 3 kids are sleeping and I decided to really do a few updates, while the house is quiet. Please enjoy! Also, we will keep everyone updated, but I think that they have decided to go ahead to take Emerson's tonsils out. The specialist and his doctor have been discussing his past health history and are thinking that it might be a good idea to just take them out versus risking him getting so sick again. His immune system is so weak and they are not sure what will happen if he gets this sick again. Since he healthy right now (besides the typical winter cold) they might just take the oportunity. We have an appointment today and will let everyone know what they say!

Home daycare

So, maybe I'll open my own daycare at home? (Just kidding.) Anyway, I have added yet another child to my list. Her name is Lucy and her mom is a professor at the local collage. I only watch her for 4 hours every Monday (and sometimes on Wednesdays). She is 4 months old and super cute. She cries a lot, though. She's used to being held and I have to be honest that I have never heard a child scream louder in my entire life. She sure has a set of lungs when she's throwing a fit. That's okay, nothing I can't handle and the kids sure having her around. I still watch Stella on Mondays and Wednesdays, so our house seems to always be full of kids. I love it!

Superbowl Sunday!

We went to Uncle Steve's house for the Super bowl. It was so much fun. I have to admit that I am not that into football, but watching it with the Clarks always makes the game exciting. (Plus they are great at explaining all the terms to me, so that I am not to lost.) It was a great game. (Very close and full of excitement.) The food was great and the company was better. Emerson spent the entire time either playing with grandma clark or his second cousin Christian. He had the best time. When we left, he was so excited because Suzette packed him a baggie full of BBQ chips for the road. (She will forever be his hero.) Capri spent the entire time snuggling with everyone who was in a comfy chair. (Including my cousin Jordan.) She was tired and just wanted to be held the entire time. She figured if she went from one arm to the next, everyone would want to hold her and she could accomplish being held the entire time. (Which she was!)

Best of Friends

Holding hands in Target. (Sorry it's blurry, I'm litteraly running after them, trying to get the picture!)

Before church on Sunday.

Emerson and Capri have turned into the best of friends. It's great! They love to spend time together. Emerson loves to feed her bottles and hold her hand. He also wants her to sit on his lap all the time. (She's not that into that, but she likes to hold his hand.) It's so cute to see them getting along, finally. Emerson wants to baby her and calls her his baby. Whenever I ask him if he wants to have another baby, he says "No thanks, Capri is my baby."

Saturday's Outing

So, Isaac and I have started kind of a little tradition. Every Saturday, we try to do something as a family. This saturday we wanted to go to Chucky Cheese, because we got coupons for a discount. When we showed up it was insainly busy, so we decided to just go to Chick-Fil-A and let the kids eat chicken nuggets, play on the play land, and eat ice cream. This was so much fun and definately less stressful than Chucky Cheese!
