Under the plan of heaven, the husband and the wife walk side by side as companions, neither one ahead of the other, but a daughter of God and a son of God walking side by side.

Nana and Grandpa

Yesterday we spent the day with Nana and Grandpa. We had such a fun day. We went to this really fun park by their house and had a picnic lunch. They were so sweet and remembered that chicken nuggets are Emerson's favorite and made a special trip to Wendy's just to get him some. We played at the park for a really long time. Then, we went on the Front Runner. They were giving out free rides, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was really crowded, but it was so much fun. Both the kids were really tired. Emerson fell asleep on the train, but Capri fought sleep all the way home. We got her an ice cream cone in the car, to get her to stop throwing a fit, and boy did she make a mess!!! We had a wonderful day. We love you Nana and Grandpa!

Last Sunday Dinner

So on Sunday, we went to Mom and Dad's for dinner. It will be our last dinner there for a while. (I did surprisingly well!) We had a great time. Lindsey, Dan, Grandma and Grandpa all came. The kids wanted to play outside the entire time. It was a beautiful day. Dad set up the trampoline for them. Mom even let Emerson put a candle in the cake and blow it out. We sang "Happy Birthday to Nobody." It was great. We are sure going to miss everyone when we move.

Kids 2 Work 2008

Today was Kids 2 Work 2008 for E-Bay. Emerson got to got to work with Isaac! He had the best time ever. He got his own T-shirt and security badge. He got to have his face painted, win some prizes, and get lots of snacks. The best thing is that E-bay really makes a big deal out of this and the kids have lots of fun. (The funny part is I think Emerson now thinks all Isaac does at work is play games, get his face painted, and eat snacks!) Emerson now wants to work for E-Bay when he grows up. Get 'em while they're young, right?

Decorating boxes

Emerson is really having a hard time lately. We think it is because of the move. He's really been acting out emotionally and we are open to any advice that would help. I've been doing a lot of research online on how to make moving easier on kids, and one of the suggestions is to have them help decorate a box that all their "special" things will go in. This box will ride with us in the car, and Emerson can choose what going in it. Emerson loved it! Emerson even let Capri help decorate. Now we only have to decide what to put in it. Emerson wants to put his cars, toys, Nemo swimming suit, blanket and ball in it. Sounds good to me. Hopefully this will make things easier on him. (Anybody want to help me handle it better? I'm really sad and scared all at the same time.) I'm really trying to keep it together for Emerson's sake. Packing is going well. We are about 70% there. Our goal is to be all packed by the end of the weekend, so we can spend Mon, Tues, and Wed of next week visiting family before we move on Thursday. I think that we are doing well and will have no problem reaching that goal!

Dan's early birthday

Cute Picture of Mom and Emerson. They are going to miss eachother so much when we move. Emerson thinks the world of his Grandma.

Isaac wasn't feeling well, so Emerson covered him up with a bunch of blankets and got him some stuffed animals for comfort. It was really cute to see him taking care of his daddy.

The end result.

Dad, Capri and Capri's baby. Dad loves Capri so much. Capri thinks the world of her "Ampa." Mom yelled at me when I was downstairs, and I ran upstairs so I could take a picture of this cute moment between Grandpa and his little princess.

Emerson and Grandma hiding under the blanket. They thought it was so much fun. Capri had to join in on the fun as well.

Happy Birthday Dan!!!

Emerson trying to blow out Dan's candles. He thinks that every birthday is for him. He must help blow out the candles.

A cute picture of Capri playing with her dolls.

Emerson throwing a fit because Dan blew out all the candles. He just couldn't imagine why he couldn't do the whole thing.

Another cute picture of Capri and her doll.

Well, on Sunday we had an early birthday party for Dan. It was lots of fun. I think I covered the whole event with the explanations to the pictures. Enjoy!

Good news!

We are feeling so blessed right now. Capri sent most of the day yesterday at Primary Children's doing some tests. The first one was a sweat chloride test for Cystic Fibrosis. The doctors have been concerned about Capri's ongoing cough and wanted to test her. Luckily, things are normal there. We are going to see a specialist about her cough/asthma, but are happy that it's nothing serious. (She has had trouble with a cough/asthma for over a year now. She responds well to a nebulizer treatment several times a day.) The second test was on her kidney tubes. She has struggled with reflux of her kidneys for most of her life. This requires a daily dose of antibiotics and a scare every time she has a fever. (It might be a kidney/urinary tract infection.) The retest for this every 6 months or so, because there is a chance of outgrowing the problem. If the patient doesn't outgrow it in couple years, it's necessary to operate. Well, Capri has outgrown her reflux!!! We are very excited about this and glad that there will be no more daily medications. Now if we could only get her asthma under control . . . One thing at a time!

New Hair Cu

I wanted a change, but my hair is already so short, that I didn't have many options. I think that I like it, though. My friend, Debbie, cut it for me. She did an awesome job. It's going to take some getting used to, but it's cute.

Mom's Birthday

Happy birthday mom!! (I know is was a few days ago, but I've been soooo busy packing.) I had to update my blog, because Lindsey says that every time she checks my blog, the last post is depressing. I actually contemplated doing a post with a picking of all my pack boxes, but decided against it. :-) (Just kidding.) We had a little party last Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's house for mom's birthday. We had a great time. Lindsey and Dan really enjoyed playing with the kids outside. (So did my dad, who braved the cold with Emerson and played for a good hour outside.) Mom had to buy and decorate her own cake. (My fault, I had strep throat and was going to make a cake, but was to sick.) Then yesterday, Lindsey and I took mom to tea a the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. We had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures.

Mom lighting her candles. (She is gorgeous! She doesn't even look a day over 30!)
Emerson planning his "attack" on the cake.
Mom, Emerson and Capri blowing out the candles.
Beautiful Capri playing in Grandma and Grandpa's yard.
Emerson and his stick. (Such a little boy.)
Dan's stick. (Emerson thought it was the best. He loves Dan.)
Emerson and Dan chasing Lindsey and Capri. (Notice the huge smile on Capri's face.)
