PRINCESS BIRTHDAY PARTY

We went to Beni Hana for dinner. On Capri's first birthday we were in Alaska for Kendra's wedding and we ate at Beni Hana. We thought it would be fun to have a picture of her at Beni Hana two birthdays in a row.

Grandma Boren came to visit for Capri's birthday! It was so great to have her here. The kids really enjoyed having her around. (I sure did as well!) Of course she made sure to get Emerson a little gift!

Capri was so cute opening her presents. She really did well for only having a couple people at her party. She was really cute about giving every gift the proper attention. She especially loved Barney and the pretty red shoes from grandma.

She did very good at blowing out the candles. It was really cute!

Of course we had to do a princess themed party. It turned out to be a wonderful day. We wish Grandma Boren could have stayed forever, but she had to go home. Emerson cried at the airport when we dropped her off and then cried most of the way home and fell asleep as we were pulling into the driveway. Good thing she'll be back in two weeks!!!

Happy Birthday Capri!

On Capri's actual birthday we didn't do much because it was a Thursday and we had a lot going on. We had here 2 year check up. Things are great! 24th percentile for height and weight. She didn't even get any shots because she was already up to date. We wanted to make the actual day a little special, so we took the kids to get ice cream. Grandma and Grandpa Jaten also gave her a cute birthday card and some money to pick out a present. I can't believe my baby is 2!

Here are the pictures of our new house that everyone has been begging for. The inspection went very good so we are moving forward and hopefully things move along pretty fast. Things take a while when you are dealing with a foreclosure. Please excuse the ugly paint colors. We do plan on painting.

Kids Playing Outside

Since the weather has cooled down somewhat, high 90's, we have been spending a lot more time outside. They love to run thru sprinklers and eat popsicles. Kids are so much fun! It's great that Emerson and Capri have really started playing well together. I'm glad they have eachother.

What We've been waiting for!

So, yesterday I had my appointment with the doctor. The baby seemed to be doing okay, but I have managed to not gain ANY weight during my pregnancy, but I have actually LOST 5 lbs. Well, any worry that I had went away during the ultrasound where they found that the baby is measuring 4 1/2 weeks BIGGER than it should. Yah, another mammoth baby. We have another ultrasound in a month, and we will get some more acurate readings and decided what to do. Well, we were able to find out what our baby is. We didn't put on the actual ultrasound picture showing the gender because it was a really good one and seemed a little inapropriate. Let's just say they are pretty sure we are having a BOY! We are so excited. Isaac wasn't able to be there when we found out, so I got the kids blue balloons and wrote It's a Boy on them and let them show Isaac when he got home from work. We are pretty excited. Hopefully he slows down in the growing department. I don't want to do anything even around 9 lbs. again!

Fun at the Park

Loves Art

I've started a fun tradition with the kids. Once a week we go to the store and buy some stuff to do a craft. Now a "craft" can be anything creative from finger paints, to a coloring book, to muffin tins and sprinkles. Emerson is really into cutting and gluing stuff and Capri just wants to color. She asks to color every day. The cute part is that she huddles right over her paper. It makes me smile. I've got great kids. On a different note, my baby, Capri, turns 2 tomorow. I can't believe it! We moved her to a toddler bed about a week ago and she is doing great! She loves it. She did much better than Emerson and enjoys being a "big girl." Poor Emerson got moved into a toddler bed when he was about 18 months and not ready for it. I had just had my surgery and Isaac was out of town and I couldn't lift him, so he had to go to a toddler bed. Poor thing! Well enjoy the picture of my cute kids. Some are of them doing art and the others are at the park. It's still hitting 100 regularly, but it cools down a bit in the evenings and we have been trying to take the kids out.

For Lindsey

So, this post is really for my sister Lindsey. She says that I didn't put a good picture of Capri on the last post. Also, I swore I wouldn't do this, but there's a belly shot for everyone. This time, being pregnant, I am away from my family. So, here you go, 4 months along! Please don't mind the fact that my hair is not done, no makeup, fake smile . . . just don't look at my face! Also, I will post pictures of our new house next saturday. That's when our inspection is, and we will have plenty of time to take some pictures. Right now we are set to close on October 28th, and I hope that everything keeps going smooth and that the inspection goes well.

Pictures

Here are some long awaited pictures. There aren't very many. My photo card actually ran out of space when I was in Utah, but we still got some cute pictures. Sorry it took me so long to get these. We have definately been busy with the whole house search thing. We put an offer in on a house today, though! We should know if they accepted our offer within a couple days. Pretty exciting stuff!

Cute picture of Capri and both her Grandma's at the cabin.
Emerson taking a walk at the Cabin in Utah.

Emerson and Grandma Clark at the Cabin.

Isaac and Emerson watching the fire at the cabin.
Emerson being a goof-ball. He stuck all these "magneeto" balls in his pants and then danced around laughing. It was pretty funny!

Emerson's first time bowling. We went with my friend Paige and her three kids. Emerson absolutely had a ball! He was so happy the whole time.

Emerson got his face painted like Spider-Man at Alpine Days. He thought he was so cool.

We are alive!

Okay, so I'm getting in trouble for not doing a post for so long. I will get some pictures on tonight! Things are just moving along here. We are meeting with our realtor tonight to make an offer on a house! We are super excited to start the whole process. We will also be able to find out what we are having in about 3 weeks, so please feel free to cast your vote on the subject. I'll post some much wanted pictures of the kids tonight. Emerson is getting really big and is becoming such a little boy. He is so creative and spends his days "creating" things and begging me to do a "project" with him. Oh, and he has to kiss the baby in my tummy about 20 times a day! Capri is sweet and quiet. She begs me all day to color and is actually pretty good at it. She'll sit at the kitchen table for an hour at a time coloring pictures. It's fun that she is starting to communicate so well. Emerson loves it and proclaims all the time "She can talk like me!"
