WARNING

Just a little warning. I update a lot. It gives me something to do while nursing. Plus it makes my mom and sister happy. If you have a problem with this, please don't read my blog. I don't care if it bugs you. If pictures of my kids and my "constant" updates (as you put it) bug you, then don't read my blog. :-)

Helpful Emerson

Today Emerson wanted to help me get caught up around the house. (With our trip, hospital stay and me being sick the last 2 days, I'm behind . . .) I did about 3 loads of laundry and piled them on the coach. Emerson wanted to fold them, so I let him. He worked for 30 minutes sorting and folding everything. (He even folded my gloves!) It was so sweet and so helpful. AND I just put them away exactly how he folded them. (I wanted to "fix" it, but figured it would be better to show him that I was proud of the job he did.) Plus, every time I get any clothes out that he folded, it will make me smile! I love you Emerson!

Princess Capri

Capri was in a cute mood today and let me do a photo shoot of her. She is sooo funny! She was posing all cute and was thrilled to look at the pictures when we were done. She always so happy and fun to be around. A true little princess. (She can throw a fit, don't get me wrong, but she's really easy to distract.) This morning when I put her hair in a pony tail, she looked in the mirror and said to me "let my curls go!" I laughed so hard! Oh, and she's back on a "will only wear skirts or dresses" kick. (Or a swim suit.)

Baby Cade

Cade is so sweet! He is still feeling pretty sick, but on the mend. The doctor said that he should be past the worst of everything. He's really starting to smile a lot. Emerson is so good at getting him to smile and spends a lot of the day trying to get just a little smile out of him. It's sweet. Cade really hasn't done anything but smile. I think after 3 kids, I'm really not in a rush to have him roll over or anything like that. I'm just enjoying him being small and sweet.

The worst luck!

We really have the WORST luck when it comes to sickness in our family. I am very careful, too. I have disinfectant sitting by every door and hand sanitizer in all the bags and in the car. I've almost become paranoid about it. I've actually taken my kids home from church before because I "heard to much coughing" around us. The doctor has assured me that it's not me, it's our weak immune systems. She says that we are lucky to be getting all this immunity to things while the kids are young. Emerson was sick a lot as a baby and seems to be more resilient now . . . Anyway, on our way home from Utah, Cade was acting especially fussy. Then he fell asleep and slept for 10 hours and I had to wake him up to feed him. Then he didn't really eat and threw up after. I made an appointment on Friday to see the doctor. Poor thing was going down hill really fast. When we got to the doctor, he was really lethargic. She send us to . . . the hospital! Yes, another trip to the hospital. This is really getting old. After waiting in the ER waiting room, forever, we were told that the X-Ray showed that Cade had pneumonia and they were checking us in to the hospital. We were transferred to the Children's Hospital. (That was next door, thank goodness, so we didn't have to pay for some expensive transfer.) We then spent the weekend at the hospital. He's doing a little better. They were going to keep us last night, but I was convinced that would heal faster at home. (Hospitals are so dirty and I was afraid of him catching something else. Like the runny nose he has this morning??) He's doing fine this morning, a little fussy, but fine. He's lost some weight, which is hard when your only 10 pounds! He was sweet the whole hospital stay and really got upset if I left his side. The nurses would laugh because he was so in tune to whether I was in the room and would have a TOTAL MELTDOWN if I left. I only left twice (to see Emerson and Capri downstairs) and came back both times to them trying to calm him down while he cried hysterically. (It made me feel great because he'd calm down almost immediately when I held him.) Emerson and Capri weren't even aloud in the wing where he was, but we were able to play with them in "the healing gardens", which they loved. It was really pretty and peaceful. I also was able to catch Cade smiling on Camera for the first time. It was so cute. It's not the best picture, but still cute. Also, he is holding his head up really well on his stomach. Well, don't be offended if I spray you down with Lysol when you come over or insist that you disinfect your hands when you even are near us, I am just SICK of sickness!

LOTS AND LOTS OF UPDATES!

There are A LOT of updates and pictures below. Make sure you scroll down and see them all!

On out way home . . .

We had a great drive home. The kids were great and we made really good time. We ate at this really cute restaurant in Panguitch that had a great play area for the kids. It was great to just eat and let the kids play. Then we went on a hike to see some old Indian ruins as well. It was really cool. We decided to leave when we saw the sign about the rabid foxes with rabies. (No joke!) We did have a TERRIBLE experience with the Holiday Inn in Page. They charged me for my room 3 times and refused to fix it. (I had a file a claim with the bank and have them fix it because Holiday Inn wouldn't) Not only that, but the manager yelled at ME about it. Yes, she yelled at me! I can't even get started because I will get upset, but I highly recommend that if you are in the Page/Lake Powell area that you DO NOT stay at the Holiday Inn. We have had a bad experience both times being there.

Dinosaur Museum

While in Utah we decided to visit the Dinosaur Museum. It was sooo cool. I think that Isaac and I had a better time than the kids. We were so into reading about all the bones and looking at all the different dinosaurs. The kids thought it was cool and really enjoyed "digging" for fossils. That was their favorite part. We will definitely be going there again. It was really neat! Isaac and I are going to go to it on a date one night without the kids so we can read everything.

Cade's Blessing

We blessed Cade while we were in Utah for Easter. We had tons of family show up and it turned out okay despite some MAJOR incidents. I was suppose to have the chapel on Monday from noon on to get ready for the blessing at 6pm. Well, I showed up at 1pm and there was a hurse (not sure how to spell that!) in the parking lot. I went in there was a viewing going on! I found someone who was NOT crying and asked what was going on. They said there was a funeral at 2pm and then a dinner for the family after. Um, okay. I went home and called my mom (who is in charge of building scheduling) and she knew nothing about it. She called around and found out that they assumed no one would need the building on a Monday, but they would be out by 5:30pm. Okay, now I don't have the two ovens I had planned on using at the church. I was able to borrow a neighbors oven and ran around like CRAZY and was able to set up on a mere 30 min. Then, we sat and sat waiting for a member of the bishopric from my mom ward. We couldn't get ahold of anyone, so we decided to start the dinner first. Then, we had the blessing afterwards. (The bishop had forgotten.) It turned out okay. I was pretty stressed the whole time and didn't get many pictures. Thank you to all the family for being supportive and patient. It turned out great and Isaac gave a wonderful blessing.

Just hanging out

I wasn't sure where to put these pictures, but they were so cute. We didn't have much down time while in Utah, but we did have lots of fun.
