Under the plan of heaven, the husband and the wife walk side by side as companions, neither one ahead of the other, but a daughter of God and a son of God walking side by side.

5 Months old

I can't believe that my little guy is already 5 months old! (I'm a little late on this post, I know!) What a sweety he is! He rolls over really well and loves to play with toys. His favorite toy is his orange cow. He also really enjoys his jungle bouncer. He is very vocal and loves to "talk" to you. We are giving cereal a try, again. (We tried as couple weeks ago and he didn't do great so we decided to wait and try again.) He seems to really like it, but spends the entire time "fighting" with me about holding the spoon. Then I give it to him and he gags himself and cries! Crazy baby. He is happy all the time and only cries when he is hungry or wants to be held. I must admit that I carry him around almost all day. :-) I can't help myself! He is just so cute! He loves to sleep with tons of stuff around his face. It's super cute! He LOVES to look at Capri and Emerson. Emerson is the BEST at getting him to giggle. He is still a little pip squeak. My shortest, but Emerson still weighed less (weird because he was so big when he was born!). The best part is that I am really getting to enjoy his 0-3 month clothes, since he can still wear most of them. Here the measurements and the comparisons to the other kids!

Emerson: 26 1/4 inches; 14 lbs. 8 oz.
Capri: 24 1/2 inches; 14 lbs. 14 oz.
Cade: 24 1/4 inches; 14 lbs. 9 oz.

My kids have beds . . . I promise!

He just won't give up!

I REALLY struggle to get Emerson to take a nap or go to bed at night. I know he is really tired, but he fights me like crazy. I put him down for a nap today and of course I spent the next hour putting him back in bed. I went to clean the bathroom in my room and came out to find this. . . Emerson sound asleep in the hall right outside his room. What a nut!

4th of July Celebration

After the parade, we went to I-Hop for breakfast. The kids were thrilled because they each got a balloon sword/flower. Everyone thought it was so cute that the kids were all dressed up. When we got home we did a bunch of little crafts with the kids. They thought it was great. Emerson loved having a little "container" for his pop. We then had Isaac's parents over for dinner. We had yummy BBQ ribs and salads. Then we had our traditional s'mores for desert. Good times! We didn't do any fireworks because we thought the noise would scare the kids. Plus Isaac had to pack because he will be in Chicago for 2 weeks. :-( We miss him! We had a wonderful 4th of July and feel blessed that we live in this wonderful, free country!

4th of July parade

The morning of the 4th of July we went to the church for a ward activity. The kids all decorated their bikes and scooters and then had a parade. We had a flag raising ceremony and then we had root beer floats. It was really fun. The kids had a ball. Emerson was a big hit at the parade because he had a bag of candy and threw it at people. That was his favorite part I think. Well, maybe it tied with getting to ride a scooter with a girl from the ward. He thought that was pretty neat! Isaac was so sweet and pushed Capri the whole parade because she doesn't know how. It was super hot but he wanted her to be part of the parade. What a great daddy!

Sock puppet

Oh, that's where that sock went.
We found Carpi asleep like this last night. It can get boring staying in your bed.

Even more pics . . .

Playing with his favorite toy - his cow
Silly baby!
These two are so sweet!
Playing together. Look at that smile on Capri's face!
Um, she didn't want to smile. This just makes me laugh!
Emerson and his pirate hat and telescope that we made for our daily craft. He LOVED it.

I LOVE his smiles!

Summer Fun

Capri Playing with Cade

Such a cutie!
Emerson cheesin' it!
Capri "hangs" on the counter like this to wash her hands. It just makes me laugh every time she does it.
Doing finger paints

We are enjoying our summer. We are busy running here and there with swimming lessons, dance and karate. You kind of have to do inside activities here because it gets so hot outside. We are excited for our ward activity tomorow where the kids get to decorate their bike or scooter and have a parade. I'll make sure to take photos. Hope everyone has a happy 4th of July! Oh, enjoy the video of the kids playing. They were pretending to be in "jail" behind the crib we were taking down. It was funny.
