Under the plan of heaven, the husband and the wife walk side by side as companions, neither one ahead of the other, but a daughter of God and a son of God walking side by side.

The neighborhood that we live in started a T-Ball team. We are super excited about it. We have practice on Thursdays and games on Saturdays. Emerson had a great time and got really into it. We had so much fun going to the store and picking out a bat, balls and glove. (To bad Isaac was out of town for this "little boy" moment.) Capri was jealous that she didn't get a "mint" (mitt), but was happy to chase after balls in the backyard while Emerson practiced hitting balls. It's so much fun to see the kids enjoying their childhood. I had lots of fun sitting on a blanket with Cade while Emerson played T-Ball. Capri was able to find a bunch of little girls to play with and was so sad when she had to leave. Isaac is looking forward to the Saturday games because he will be taking Emerson to those while I take Capri to dance. Fun times! The pictures might be a little blurry because I didn't want to get to close and distract him from practice. We don't have much of a zoom on our camera.

Dressing Up

We recently got rid of about 1/2 of the kid's toys. It's been a good thing because the kids actually play more with what they have left. One of their favorites is the dress ups! Capri wants to wear something different every day and it's so fun to see what she comes up with. Emerson even joins in, but he's usually just a pirate. (Or "a scurvy pirate" as he calls it.)

Renaissance Festival

We were able to attend the Renaissance Festival a couple of weekends ago. We had a great time. We loved that it wasn't too hot and the kids were a little older than last year. (I think Cade was only 6 weeks old when we went last year, and it was quite stressful keeping him covered and out of the heat.) We had a great time walking around, riding rides and playing games. The kids had a great time. It's fun to go once a year and check everything out. We got Capri's hair done and Emerson got a really cool bird whistle. They all LOVED the petting zoo, especially Cade. He smiled at all the animals, it was really cute. We are looking forward to next year!

Dancing Capri

Capri and her dance teacher. She is great with the kids and Capri really likes her.

Pretty ballerina!

A little blurry, but cute.

We decided to put Capri in dance classes. She loves it! They do 30 minutes of tap and 30 minutes of ballet. The other little girls in the class are now her "buddies." She looks forward to it every week. We found a great studio in Gilbert and the teacher is great. I can't wait for her recital in June. Oh, and isn't her little tutu sooo cute?? My mom and I found it at Marshals for a steal of a deal. I love it!

Happy Birthday Cade!

Happy Birthday dear baby Cade! We had a fun little party. We did a "music" theme, with a guitar cake and music note cupcakes. He thought cake was the best thing ever. He got lots of fun presents and has had so much fun playing with them.
Just thought I jot down some notes about what he's doing and a little about his personality. He is so opinionated about things. He knows what he wants and how he wants it. He says momma and dadda. He is definitely a daddy's boy, which Isaac loves. He crawls very well and pulls himself to standing. He hasn't started standing on his own or walking at all, but that's okay. I'm not that anxious for him to be mobile. He only has 2 little teeth. He eats well and we are working on whole milk and getting rid of the bottle. He sleeps very good at night. He's my only baby that I can just lay down and say goodnight to. He just rolls over and goes to sleep! He has the biggest, sweetest smile. We had his 1 year appointment today and he is doing well. 20th percentile for everything. He was, however, quite offended by the shots! Here's his stats:
Weight: 20 lbs. 8 oz.
Length: 28.75 inches
Head: 18 inches
We are so greatful for our wonderful baby. He is such a joyful, special addition to our family. Happy birthday baby Caders! We love you.

One of our favorite places to go is the "Western Town" Rawhide. They have a great steakhouse there and they have a stage to dance on and a live band. The kids love it. My mom has been in town for Cade's birthday, so we thought we would take her. We had a great time walking around and seeing everything. The kids also looked so cute dancing together on the stage. They were so cute. I loved it. I couldn't get to close, so the pictures were a little blurry. I wanted them to dance without seeing me. If you're ever in Arizona, make the trip to Rawhide with us. It's great. Oh, and be looking for Cade's "first birthday" post - coming in the next couple days!

Cute kids!

I love it when the kids are happy and playing nicely together. They are such cute kids. I am so lucky to be their mom.

Catching Up!

Make sure that you scroll down a bit. I have tried to catch up as much as possible. I was so behind. Enjoy all the new posts.

New Year's

We had a wonderful New Years. We thought the best way to end and start a new year, was with our kids! We ate tons of fun treats and did a fake "countdown" with the kids. We watched kids movies, and put them to bed at 10pm. Then we stayed up and watched movies until way past midnight. We were exhausted the next day!!!! Emerson loved the party stuff that we got. He even slept with the mask on for days. We had a wonderful time together.

Boren Family Photos

It was so funny because everyone wanted family photos, but we couldn't do them outside because my kids would freeze. So, we ended up doing them at a small cafe in American Fork. It was really fun, at first, but lasted forever!!! :-) Got some good photos, though. The kids tried as hard as they could to be good. Lindsey got most of the good ones on her blog. You can see them here. She got most of the group pictures.
